A Pine Grove woman escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 2:50 p.m. Oct. 19 on Spruce Drive, Township Route 641, in Pine Grove Township.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said Ashley R. truscott, 19, was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier southbound and was negotiating a right turn when the rear portion of the vehicle began to slide clockwise. police said the woman over-compensated and the car then spun back around counter-clockwise from the south lane inyo the northbound lane before going off the east berm and striking an embankment. Police said the vehicle traveled with its two left side tires on the embankment for about 60 feet before it spun counter-clockwise 90 degrees and came to rest in a ditch.The driver will be cited as a result of the crash.The vehicle required towing from the scene, police said.
