The Tamaqua Public Library has announced that the mailing to Tamaqua area residents and businesses expected to take place at the end of September was delayed by about two weeks and is in the mail now.

The mailing represents the first-time outsourcing of the annual fundraising appeal by the library and is being coordinated by Affinity Connection of State College.Approximately 5,000 addresses in the Tamaqua area are expected to receive the mailing in the coming days, said Gayle Heath, librarian.
