Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on two arrests for thefts in separate incidents.

On Friday, Oct. 12, about 7:32 p.m. officers responded to 3311 Woodland Drive, A Pocono Country Place, in Tobyhanna, for a theft complaint. On scene Christine Gallo, 49, of that address, reported she left Kyle Heller, 21, of Tobyhanna, stay at her residence for two nights. When he left she discovered a flat screen television and a pair of gold earrings missing.

Police went to an area pawn shop and found the stolen items. A further investigation revealed that Heller did remove the items and sold them for cash.

He was arrested and charged with theft and receiving stolen property.

The second incident occurred at the Walmart store in Mount Pocono. On Oct. 2, about 2:23 p.m., officers were called to the store for two males in the custody of store security for a theft incident.

On scene officers found Michael Bianculli, 25, of Canadensis, and Steven Perez, 47, of Newfoundland, in custody.

Police allege the two worked together to select two HDMI cables from a shelf. Perez attempted to return the cables for compensation at the customer service desk, even though the cables were never purchased.

Bianculli and Perez were each charged with criminal attempt to commit theft by deception and receiving stolen property.
