Pocono Mountain Regional Police arrested Jules Callaghan, 42, of New Jersey, on charges of escape, resisting arrest, fleeing or attempting to elude police and driver required to be licensed after an incident at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 4 in the parking lot of the Full Gospel Holiness of God church parking lot, Coolbaugh Township.

Police said they responded there after Callaghan called 911, identifying himself as Jesus Christ, and saying he "couldn't get through the dark side."Upon arrival, police found Callaghan sitting in his vehicle reading the Bible and also observed he was wearing a medical admission bracelet on his wrist.As police were conducting a radio check for additional information on the man, Callaghan started his vehicle, put it in reverse nearly striking two police cars, and fled at a high rate of speed until he was eventually taken into custody.
