Jim Thorpe picked up victories in boys and girls soccer on Monday.

Zeb Shiffert also scored a goal.Matt Palmer had a goal and an assist for Bangor, which also benefitted from an own goal.GIRLS SOCCERPleasant Vy.-PM WestPleasant Valley throttled PM West 9-0 for the Mountain Valley Conference victory.The Lady Bears scored three goals in the first half and a stunning six in the second to capture the win.Melissa Russo certainly did her part scoring five out of the PV nine goals.Jamie Dorshimer chipped in with two goals and Hayley Williams and Kim Jimenez added a goal each for Pleasant Valley.Lehighton-ES SouthEast Stroudsburg South blanked Lehighton for the 2-0 MVC win.Lauren Channer and McDonald scored a goal a piece in the second half to help the Cavaliers get the victory.Lehighton managed to get seven shots, but couldn't get find the back of the net.Northern Lehigh-BangorBangor blanked Northern Lehigh in Colonial League play, 5-0.Maliah Livingston scored twice for the Slaters (12-4), while teammates Melissa Guydish, Briana Bisci and Emma Daly each added one.The Bulldogs' lone goal was scored by Sydney Rosetti.Palmerton-Notre Dame ESNotre Dame of East Stroudsburg beat Palmerton, 6-1, in Colonial League play.Angelica Bertola scored four goals to lead the Spartans.Brianna Doherty had Palmerton's lone goal.Jim Thorpe-N.SchuylkillCat Condly scored a natural hat trick to lead Jim Thorpe to a 3-1 Schuylkill League victory over North Schuylkill.Condly scored all her goals in a five-minute span of the first half. She finished with 12 shots on goal and hit the post twice.North Schuylkill keeper Kylie Fetterolf kept the game close with 17 saves. Alyssa Smith had five saves in net for the Olympians.VOLLEYBALLJim Thorpe-NorthwesternNorthwestern handled Jim Thorpe in a non-league match-up, 25-21, 25-15, and 25-20.With the victory, the Tigers qualified for the District 11 playoffs in their first year of existence.Trista Cunningham and Jordan Veppert led the Tigers with nine and eight kills respectively. Sara Hufnagle dished out 13 assists, while Mackenzie Hart handed out nine.Shannon Green had seven kills for Jim Thorpe and Riley Carroll had eight assists.Pleasant Vy.-LibertyPleasant Valley took care of Liberty in non-conferece play in three games.The Bears won 25-20,25-13, and 25-20 over the Lehigh Valley Conference foe.Courney Miller led the PV attack with 12 kills and eight blocks.
