Two persons were arrested following an incident in Monroe County. Pocono Mountain Regional police said the incident occurred about 12:34 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Bill's Shop Rite, in Mount Pocono.

Police were called to the store for a report of a theft incident. On scene police were informed store security had two persons in custody for retail theft. They were identified as Brittany Boehm, 20, of Gilbert, and Robert Maisano, 30, of Kresgeville.A further investigation revealed Maisano gave store security a false name and Boehm had concealed items inside her purse. Police also found a prescription bottle inside Boehm's purse that contained nine alprazolam tablets and 17 oxycodone tables, without a prescription for either drug.Police said Boehm and Maisano arrived at the store with their own shopping bags and placed items in them and then left the store without paying for the items.They were placed under arrest and charged with retail theft and criminal conspiracy.Police added that a drug charge is pending against Boehm.
