Trinity happenings

First Saturday worship with Holy Communion will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton. It will be led by the Rev. Michael Frost, who serves as dean of the Hazleton/Lehighton mission district, and pastor at Zions Stone Church, New Ringgold. Worship will be led by substitute clergy during the pastoral vacancy.

Sunday worship with Holy Communion will be held at 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 7 and will be led by the Rev. George Zacharda. Coffee house fellowship follows.

A nursery is available for children through age 6 during the weekly 9 a.m. worship service. The nursery will be staffed with an experienced caregiver who is trained in CPR and first aid and a youth volunteer.

Sunday School "Power Hour" for all ages begins at 10:15 a.m.

Trinity's church picnic at Phifer's Ice Dam, Franklin Township, begins at noon on Sunday, Oct. 7. Food, fellowship, a cakewalk, and musical entertainment are featured.

Upcoming events include a joint gathering of the Women of the ELCA and the Women of Grace at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct 10, at Grace Lutheran Church, Fourth and Mahoning streets. The topic is "Holy Hysterics," featuring joy-filled scripture.

The Crop Walk will be held Oct. 14 at the Lehigh Canal Park at Weissport. The walk is held to raise money to help stop hunger near and far. Twenty five percent goes to the Trinity Food Pantry; 75 percent is used for Church World Services relief and development programs. Beltzville Lions

Beltzville Lions Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at Ss. Peter and Paul school hall. Anyone interested in learning more about Lionism is invited to attend. For more information, call Gail at (610) 533-9311.
