The bay of the Citizen's Fire Company of Middleport was turned into a donation warehouse as firefighters, volunteers and community members spent the last few days sorting, counting, folding, bagging, boxes and stagin over a hundred thousand donations collected by the fire company and area volunteers for hurricane victims in New York and New Jersey.

"There has been a great overflow of support from local businesses and community members," said organizer Todd Amos, President, Citizen's Fire Company of Middleport. "I can't say enough about all the support I received from the community."

He added that some donators drove about two hours to donate items for their donation collection.
