The Palmerton Area High School Class of 1952 held its 60th reunion, Oct. 5-7, and enjoyed a three-day weekend.
First they went to Penn's Peak for dinner followed by a show with Herman's Hermits.
Saturday they had lunch at Bert's Steakhouse, followed by a slide show and presentation and explanation of area recovery at the Lehigh Gap Environmental Center.
That evening, the class enjoyed a social hour, dinner and entertainment at Blue Ridge Country Club.
The class honored its deceased president, Peter A. Turko, by presenting a monetary gift to the Palmerton Area High School Environmental Club.
Katie Pielmyer, Peter Turko's granddaughter and a member of the club, accepted the gift to restore the garden area at the high school.
On Sunday, class members met for breakfast and planned for another reunion in two years.
