Zion United Church of Christ, 2nd and Iron Sts., Lehighton is once again hosting its ecumenical Christmas Concert to be held on Sunday, December 2 at 7:30 p.m.

This cantata was created by former Zion UCC Director of Music, Paul R. Smith 36 years ago.

The current Director of Music, Brad Cressley, has continued the tradition. Last year's cantata featured 75 voices which represented 22 different chuches and organizations.

The group is once again looking for vocalists to join the cantata.

Members come from various church choirs throughout the area but it is not necessary for the singers to be a member of a church choir.

Anyone high school age and above who enjoys singing is invited to join. In addition, this year Zion's Junior Choir, "The Choraliers" will be featured in one number of the cantata and members of other youth choirs are invited to join them.

The choir will once again be joined by the Zion Festival orchestra and Cindy Mack at Zion's Pipe Organ.

The rehearsal schedule is as follows:

Ÿ Tuesday- Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m.

ŸWednesday- Nov. 14 at 8:30 p.m.

Ÿ Sunday - Nov. 18 at 3 p.m.
