Beltzville Lions Club stages Old Fashioned Hay Ride and Fall Fest

Beltzville Lions Club staged its Old Fashioned Hay Ride and Fall Fest this past weekend at the Weissport Park and Lehigh Canal Park at Weissport.

Several hundred people took part in the tractor drawn hayrides along the historic canal, checked out the tractor show, the crafters, pumpkin patch and tasted the homemade food. Also entertaining was

A.D.D., a band of young performers who really rocked the park.The park was filled with children riding the train in the borough park, jumping in the bounce house, making their own scare crow, taking part in the pedal tractor pull or trying to win a gold fish. This event catered to seniors, elderly individuals and people with disabilities. Families of all ages were invited to attend.The hay rides featuring rides in hay wagons pulled by two restored John Deere tractors and a Ford tractor, sponsored by L-TNT Pyrotechs, Inc., Walnutport.The hay ride gave everyone the opportunity to see the historic Lehigh Canal Park at Weissport during the height of the fall foliage experience.The pedal tractor pull organized by Pocono Old Tyme Plow Boys. First place winners were, Allee Maini, Andrew Diehl, Jamyson Cotterman, Devon Shannon and Alexis LaRochelle; second place winners were, Jeremiah Cotton, Haily Counterman, Thomas Ahner and Zoe Cotton; third place winners were, Allex Diehl; Asa Andrew, Gavin Berger; Blaine Berger and Jacob Kemmerer.This event was sponsored by L-TNT Pyrotechs Inc., Walnutport, Lorah Farms, Dean Gombert Tents, Lehigh Canal Recreation Commission and Walnutport Canal Association. Beltzville Lions Club organized the event.
