West Penn churches hold Memorial Service

ANDREW LEIBENGUTH/TIMES NEWS Members of both the St. Peter's Union Church in Mantzville and Zion's Stone Church in New Ringgold held their annual Memorial Day Service on Sunday in the cemetery of the Zion's Stone Church. The location alternates between churches each year. The service consisted of a reading from Rev. Michael Frost of Zion's Stone Church and Rev. Cheryl Moore of St. Peter's Union Church. Guest speaker was Iraq veteran Andrew Leibenguth. Special thanks was given to Al Martinez, Chairman, West Penn Township Board of Supervisors, Boy Scout Teddy Zeigler and musicians Erin Raymond and Emmeline Knowlan, who also took part in the service. Next year's service will be held at the St. Peter's Union Church. Church parishioners and visitors remember veterans as they hold flags during the service.
