Pleasant Valley announces fall and winter positions

The Pleasant Valley School District board of directors approved 9-0, the 2012-2013 fall assistant coaching positions. They are:

Ms. Mina wishes to remain on the substitute list for monitor.The board approved Polk Parent Volunteer, Ms. Jean Gower.The board approved the discarding of textbooks. Board director Gould asked Ms. Geary if the items were being thrown out. Ms. Geary explained that all possible other means of disposal were investigated. The company was notified and the district tried to give the books to other schools that may be in need, but no one was interested. She also stated that we use the books until they are basically unusable.Approval was granted for the HP Financial Services three (3) year Technology Lease Agreement not to exceed $96,960.66 yearly.Approval was granted to advertise for sealed bids for HVAC Air Filters.The following contracts were approved:*Gorman & Associates, P.C. Earned Income Tax Audit. Cost: Base Fee of $3,050 and hourly rate for additional services $72 (An increase of 1.7%; no increase on the hourly rate for additional services). Audit the financial statements of the PVSD Earned Income Tax Offices as of and for the year ending December 31, 2011 and prepare the financial statements with copies for each Board member and responsible official of the school district;*Gorman & Associates, P.C. Audit. Cost: Audit Fee - $25,600, Single Audit Fee - $2,900 and hourly rate for additional services $72 (An increase of 1.8% for Audit and 1.8% for Single Audit services; no increase on the hourly rate for additional services). Audit the financial statements, business-type activities, each major fund and the aggregate remaining fund information for the 2011-12 fiscal year ending June 30, 2012 and Single Audit.*Scientific Learning Corporations. Cost: $12,530.00. Renewal Agreement for support, services and web-based training for Pleasant Valley Elementary effective June 18, 2012 through August 31, 2012. To be paid through Title I and General Fund*Camphill Special School. Cost: $7,403.60. 2012 Extended School Year Enrollment for student #063012BG for the period June 30, 2012 to July 28, 2012.
