Marian concluded regular season play by finishing up a pair of games with Holy Cross from earlier in the season.

BASEBALLMarian-Holy CrossMarian split a non-league doubleheader with Holy Cross.The teams played a pair of five-inning games on April 21. After it was learned that those games would not be counted as official by District 11, the teams decided to finish the contests on Sunday.In the opening game, Marian led 7-6 when play was resumed in the top of the sixth inning, but Holy Cross scored three runs in the bottom of the 6th and went on to post a 9-8 victory.Frank NIetz had a double and Anthony Pilla added an RBI single for the Colts during the last two innings. Luke Stawick was the losing pitcher, giving up three hits and three walks in the sixth inning.In game two, the Colts held a comfortable 10-4 lead after five innings and went on to post a 12-7 victory after the two additional innings were played.MIke Cataldo added an RBI double and Eric Swankoski went 2-for-2 during the completion of the game. Zach Motil was the winning pitcher.Marian ended the regular season with an 11-9 overall record. It will host Notre Dame of East Stroudsburg on Tuesday in a District 11 Class A quarterfinal round playoff game.
