State police at Lehighton reported investigating the following crashes.

A one-vehicle crash occurred about 10:40 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, along Christman Road, in Eldred Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Christopher Schaeffer, 39, of Palmerton, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound when, for unknown reasons, he traveled across the oncoming lane of travel and left the road. The truck went up an embankment before striking a tree stump which caused it to roll onto its side in the westbound lane.

Schaeffer was injured and flown by PennStar helicopter to St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. Kunkletown Fire Company volunteers assisted at the scene.

Another one-vehicle crash occurred on Sunday, about 5:35 p.m., along Pohopoco Drive, near Pine Run, in Towamensing Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Cathy Marie Cordery, 19, of Towamensing Township, was operating a 1999 Ford Taurus westbound when she lost control. The car left the road and struck a utility pole. Cordery sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene, troopers said.

A one-vehicle crash was reported about 8:14 a.m. on Friday, May 4, along SR209 in Polk Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Sarah E. St. Pierre, 31, of Kresgeville, was driving a 2006 Volkswagen Beetle when it left the road and struck a utility pole. St. Pierre was not injured, but was checked at the scene by emergency personnel.

Troopers cited her for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
