Jennifer Stefano, state director for Americans for Prosperity and a regular guest on Fox News, will be a guest speaker during a meeting of the Lehighton 9/12 Project.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe, with Stefano speaking at 7 p.m.

Stefano will be discussing the regulation of coal companies, as well as other matters.

The speaker is also a regular guest on Fox Business News.

Her unexpected political career began in April 2009, when she attempted to spend a day at the park with her husband and their newborn baby. Instead of a quiet family picnic, she stumbled onto one of the first-ever Tea Party rallies.

Stefano founded the Conservative Leadership Coalition, which would later merge with and become The Loyal Opposition, one of the largest local grassroots/Tea Party organizations in Pennsylvania.

In 2010, she recruited and trained nearly 100 political novices in her county to run for committee seats. Although most were unendorsed and challenged, nearly 70 of them won their seats.

She holds a business degree from Villanova University.

In 2004, she earned an Emmy nomination for outstanding reporting.
