State police at Lehighton reported on several crashes investigated by troopers recently.

Troopers reported investigating a crash on Thursday, April 26, about 10:40 a.m. along Hahns Dairy Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Dylan T. Craig-Zelena, 19, of Palmerton, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado truck westbound at a speed too fast for wet road conditions when he lost control. Craig-Zelena attempted to counter-steer, however, was unable to regain control with the truck going sideways onto the berm striking a boulder, retaining wall and tree on private property.

Craig-Zelena was injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, by Palmerton ambulance. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions, troopers added.

A one-vehicle crash was reported about 10:18 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, along Kunkletown Road, near Sarah St., in Ross Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Nathan Jones, 26, of Saylorsburg, was operating a 2007 Ford sedan at the above location when he lost control. The vehicle left the road and came to rest on the passenger side. No one was injured. Charges are pending, troopers added.

Another crash was reported on Sunday along SR335 (Kunkletown Road), in Ross Township, about 1:38 p.m. Troopers said Richard J. Wisener, 64, of Kunkletown, driving a 1991 Ford Ranger pickup truck, was westbound while Michael D. Ahner, 55, of Saylorsburg, was eastbound driving a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox. Troopers said Wisener passed another vehicle in front of him and struck the Equinox.

Ahner and passenber Brenda L. Ahner, 55, same address, were injured and taken to the Pocono Medical Center (PMC), in East Stroudsburg, by West End ambulance.

Troopers cited Wisener for careless driving.
