Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on arrests made by officers recently, two following traffic stops.

Police said on Sunday, March 18, about 1:56 a.m. a vehicle was stopped along SR196 at the Pen Mart in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township, after officers observed it being operated erratically.

The driver was identified as Aubrey Ellisor, 28, of Tobyhanna. Ellisor showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. Ellisor was placed under arrest and transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending test results.

On Saturday, March 17, about 5:04 p.m. officers stopped a vehicle along SR314 at Summit Drive, in Tobyhanna, for an equipment violation. The driver was identified as Vito Mancini, 21, of Tobyhanna. A further investigation led police to search the vehicle using a K9 unit.

A backpack was found which revealed a handgun and baggies of heroin. The handgun was found to be stolen.

Mancini was placed under arrest and and charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance-heroin, and other drug counts, along with criminal counts for possession of the handgun.

Police also found jewelry in the car which later turned out to be stolen. Other charges are pending.

On Monday, March 19, about 1:33 a.m. officers on patrol noticed a suspicious vehicle parked along Laurel Lane, at Knob Road, in Mount Pocono. While speaking with the occupants of the Toyota Highlander officers smelled the odor OF burnt marijuana.

A further investigation revealed the driver, Breanne Phillipps, 19, of Stroudsburg, to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. She was charged with that offense.
