Fire company radio stolen

State police at Frackville are investigating a theft from vehicle incident in which a fire company radio was stolen, it was one of two incidents occurring in the Shenandoah Heights section of West Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said a vehicle at the Heights Fire Company, 190 Ohio Ave, was entered and taken was a Motorola model HTR1250 portable radio belonging to the fire company. The theft occurred sometime between 11:45 p.m. on March 15 and 10 a.m. on March 16.The second incident in the township occurred at 164 Swatara Rd., where a vehicle was entered and removed was $40 in cash. The incident occurred during the same time frame as the radio theft. A unnamed juvenile is the listed victim.A theft of a vehicle incident occurred in the area of Spruce and 16th sts, in Ashland. A 1994 Chevrolet Camaro was stolen sometime between 7 and 8:15 p.m. on March 11 and later observed in the Girardville area. The vehicle was later found near 12th and Race sts., in Ashland.
