Tamaqua seventh grader Jake Weiksner was named Pennsylvania National Geographic Bee Semifinalist by the National Geographic Society. Weiksner will compete in the 2012 Pennsylvania National Geographic Bee, sponsored by Google and Plum Creek. Bees were held in schools with fourth through eighth grade students through the state to determine each school's winner. Jake is the son of Mary Ann and Dan Weiksner of Andreas.
