The St. Jerome Regional School in Tamaqua is planning a Science and Technology Week at the school from March 19 to 23. Open House, registration and science/technology programs will highlight the week.
Organizers stress that science and technology are important subjects in the field of education and state that the school designates a week every March to celebrate science and technology in the school and community. Special events are planned for the students, to include making special projects this month to show their skills in these areas.
Organizers stress that all are invited to the SJRS Open House on Thursday, March 22 from 6:30-8 p.m. to see students in action. Tours of the classrooms, computer lab, preschool and Lion's Den physical fitness facility will also be available.
March 19: My blood, Your blood Program. March 20: Parents are invited to computer class to observe the Computer program and science/technology used in police departments. March 21: Schuylkill County Drug & Alcohol Program. March 22: Carbon County Environmental Presentation. SJRS Open House: 6:30-8 p.m. Staff encourage everyone to visit classrooms and see technology in action on their interactive whiteboards and science and technology projects on display in thy gym.
