Several area residents were among 32 who were approved by Schuylkill County District Attorney Karen Byrnes Noon to be admitted in the Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition (ARD) probation program.

The program is for first time offenders in non-violent crimes.

They were admitted into the program by Judge John E. Domalakes, who imposed certain conditions. If they successfully complete the program their record will be wiped clean. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.

All were placed for a year, unless otherwise noted:

Tonia Girard, 26, of 220 Fisher Avenue, Coaldale, driving under the influence (DUI) of drugs, assessed $500 to defray cost of program, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 to Criminal Justice Education Account (CJEA) fund, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center (SMC), attend alcohol highway safety school, perform 10 hours community service, and driver's license suspended 60 days. Girard was cited by Coaldale Patrolman Glenn Laninger, when stopped last Sept. 20 on Greenwood St.

Elan Kyle Golden-Alexis, 25, of 88 Country Road, New Ringgold, DUI, assessed $500, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $60 to SMC, attend safety school, perform 10 hours community service, and license suspended 60 days. Golden-Alexis was cited by Orwigsburg Patrolman Brandon K. Bayer, last Jan. 27.

Gerald Leonard Heffner, 49, of 21 E. Pine St., Sheppton, East Union Township, DUI, assessed $500, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $60 to SMC, attend safety school, receive counseling for substance abuse, perform10 hours community service, and license suspended 60 days. Heffner was cited by Trooper John B. Carr last Nov. 23 on Thwing Street in East Norwegian Township.

Raymond Jeronis, 59, of 233 Brown St., Tamaqua, DUI, serve assessed $500, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $60 to SMC, attend safety school, undergo substance abuse counseling, perform 10 hours community service, and license suspended 60 days. Jeronis was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Michael Hobbs, last Nov. 25 after his vehicle struck poles supporting an extended roof at 21 Center St.

Samuel Charles Smolar, 22, of 27 Franklin St., Tamaqua, possession of a small amount of marijuana, assessed $350, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours community service. Smolar was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Matthew Bynon, last Oct. 12.

Brian Lee York, 25, of 161 Hunter St., Tamaqua, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, assessed $350, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, and perform 10 hours of community service. York was cited by Rush Township Sgt. Duane Frederick, when stopped last Sept. 16 on Claremont Avenue.,

James Robert Fogarty, 34, of 164 Railroad St., Delano, criminal conspiracy, theft of vehicle belonging to Tabe Yisrael, rear 95 Hazle Street, Delano, assessed $350, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, perform 10 hours community service and make restitution of $2,000 to victim. Fogarty was cited by Trooper Michael Becker on May 3, 2011.

Dylan Michael Ditzler, 24, of 128 S. 15th St., Allentown, DUI, assessed $500, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $60 to SMC, attend safety school, perform 10 hours community service, and driver's license suspended 60 days. Ditzler was cited by Trooper Mark F. Baron last Nov. 6 when stopped on Meadow Drive in South Manheim Township.

Andrew Robert Kelley, 47, of 1129 E. Mahanoy St., Mahanoy City, DUI, assessed $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $60 to SMC, attend schooling, receive substance abuse counseling, perform 10 hours community service, and license suspended 60 days.
