MAHANOY CITY Senator David G. Argall (R-29) will be hosting his annual expo for the region's senior citizens on Wednesday, July 11 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The event will take place at the Schuylkill Mall, right off of Route 61 and Interstate 81, in Frackville.

Argall confirmed that more than 25 exhibitors will be in attendance to provide up-to-date information on programs and services available to Pennsylvania's older residents.

"Our annual senior expo in Frackville is a one-stop-shop to learn about Pennsylvania's programs for our older residents," said Argall. "This event has been a huge success in past years and we look forward to bringing new exhibitors to help our area's seniors at this fun and informative event. My office is glad to help senior citizens who require assistance or have questions about programs that are available through the state."

Vendors include various health and nursing care facilities, consumer protection agencies, including the Attorney General's office, state and county departments and offices, Independent Living Services, safety awareness organizations, Schuylkill Transportation System and other groups that help and assist the region's senior citizens. Free glaucoma and blood pressure screenings will also be available. Election officials will be on hand to demonstrate voter machines as well as distribute information on the new voter identification law.
