The workshop will be held from 4-5:30 p.m. and will offer tips on ways to keep your PC running smoothly, such as interior cleaning, file organization, hard drive maintenance, updates, virus scams, back ups and more.

TAHS extracurriculars

The Tamaqua Area School District has released dates for its extra-curricular drug testing program. Any student in grade 7-12, who will be participating in any athletic or academic activity or club, or who wishes to have driving and parking privileges, will be required to participate in the district's random drug testing procedure.

The random drug testing program was established in 2010.

All participating students must register to become part of the random drug testing pool. Signed parental consent forms are required.

Parents whose children do not participate in extra curricular activities may request voluntary testing for their students as well.

Testing will be held in the Tamaqua Athletic Center locker rooms on July 31 for male students and Aug. 1 for female students. Hours both days will be from 8 a.m. to noon.

Any student unable to attend on those dates may contact Mike Hromyak, athletic director, at (570) 668-1901 or mhromyak@tamaqua.k12.pa.us [2] to make alternate arrangements.
