Assault incidents

State police at Fern Ridge reported on two simple assault incidents being investigated by troopers.

On Sunday, Aug. 29, at 4:10 p.m. an assault occurred at the Weiss Market in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Troopers said a 15-year-old male from Kunkletown punched a 14-year-old male from Brodheadsville with his fist which caused a concussion to the victim, a injured lip and swollen jaw. The victim was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg.The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of police. The investigation into the incident is continuing.On Tuesday, Aug. 31, about 3:34 p.m. an incident occurred along Weir Lake Road at a school bus stop in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said a 15-year-old male from Kunkletown was struck with an object causing a laceration on the back of his head. He was taken to PMC for treatment.The suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of troopers.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 646-3371.
