The Tamaqua Historical Society will sponsor its 22nd Annual Summerfest celebration on Father's Day, June 17. Festivities will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 5 p.m. and will be held in the West Broad Street downtown area.

The Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission will sponsor a Summer Volleyball League for adults 18 and older. Registrations are now being accepted.
Contests will be held at the sand volleyball court at the Black Diamond Park, Coaldale.
The league is co-ed and teams may have between six and 10 players. Games are scheduled to begin June 14 and will then be held Tuesdays and Thursdays during the summer months.

Class of 1972
The Tamaqua Area High School Class of 1972 will hold a reunion planning meeting on June 6, 6 p.m., at La Dolce Casa Restaurant in Tamaqua. This will be the final planning session before the June 30 reunion.
The reunion will be held at the West Penn Community Park, beginning at 1 p.m. Reservation deadline is June 16.
