Summit Hill couple wed 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Snoha, 330 W. Ludlow St., Summit Hill, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 21.

They were married in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, by the late Rev. Msgr. J. Francis Haley.A Mass was held in their honor on June 19 in St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. James Burdess, pastor, officiating, assisted by Deacon Skip La Police. The Snohas' four grandchildren offered the readings and three other grandchildren presented the offertory gifts.Mrs. Snoha is the former Louise Cusanelli of Summit Hill.Mr. Snoha is formerly of Lansford and served as the Carbon County Recorder of Deeds before retiring.They are the parents of five children, Diane, wife of Thomas Wilson of Fortville, Ind.; Andy Snoha of Summit Hill; attorney Mary Ann LaRock, wife of Dr. Michael LaRock of Kutztown; Carol, wife of Michael Monkiewicz of Schnecksville; and Beth, wife of Michael Pascoe of Summit Hill.They have nine grandchildren, Kristen Bauer, wife of Jason Bauer, Ashley and Kelly, all in Indiana; Joshua and Andrew LaRock of Kutztown; Michael and Kaitlyn Monkiewicz of Schnecksville; and Megan and Michael Pascoe of Summit Hill. They also have two great-grandchildren, Caden and Makena Bauer of Indiana.A dinner party was held in the couple's honor at The Lantern, Nesquehoning, with over 100 family, relatives and friends in attendance. They were entertained by Danny Farole of Nesquehoning.
