PVMS surpasses heart goal

The Panther Valley Middle School participated in the American Heart Association's Jump Rope and Hoops for Heart contest. This year the students raised $1000 (total raised was over $3000) more than last year. They won the competition amongst schools in the territory in NEPA and had over 30 students register online. The prize package consisted of a collapsible ball and equipment cage, an electronic ball pump, basketball, soccer ball, six mini cones and two Voit Softi balls. Presenting the awards was Stacey Haas, AHA youth market director at left. Others on picture are Johnna Weaver, Daniela Maturana, Brenna Karnish, Kiana Mertz, Bobbi Sisock, physical education teacher; and Brianna Raabe.
