A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Mercury Hospitality LLC, trading as Pocono Ramada, SR940, Lake Harmony, Kidder Township, was cited for failed to return hotel liquor license and wholesale liquor purchase permit cards to the board after the licensed establishment had not been in operation for a period of 15 consecutive days between May 29 and June 26.

This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge brought.
