FT 13-14 All-Stars stay alive

MILROY - Franklin Township's 13-14 Babe Ruth team remained alive in the Pennsylvania Babe Ruth Tournament with a 9-8 victory over Perry County.

By virtue of the win, Franklin will take on West End in one semifinal tonight at 8 p.m. Ben Salem faces Broomall/Newtown in the other semifinal.Franklin dropped two games over the weekend, but still finished as the No. 3 team in the National Division to advance.Donovan Buchinsky and KJ Snerr had the only two hits for Franklin in a 7-2 loss to West End (Williamsport) on Saturday."I think the two-day game the day before really took its toll on our kids," said Franklin manager Brad Niehoff.
