Franklin Township Fire Company will be holding its annual block party this weekend. On Friday night, from 7 to 10 p.m., July 20, the band, "Nite Flyte" will perform and seafood dinners will be served from 4 to 7 p.m.; on Saturday, July 21, from 7 to 11 p.m. Bomerang and fireworks will be held; and on Sunday, July 22, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. "Final Justice," will take the stage.

There will be food, games, rides, book fair, bingo, Chinese auction and special prizes. Lawn chairs are welcome.

To raise funds for the tanker, Franklin Township will hold a giant yard sale at the fire company on Friday, Aug. 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, Aug. 18, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations of gently used items may be dropped off at the fire company from 6 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 6, 7, 13 and 14. Last year's yard sale raised close to $6,000.
