2 teens stabbed; Monroe man held

A Monroe County man was jailed early Monday morning, charged with stabbing two young men at an underage drinking party.

State police at Lehighton said James Frederick Lindsey, 20, of 151 Robbins Lane, Saylorsburg, has been charged with two counts each of criminal attempt-homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, and simple assault. He was arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Snydersville in lieu of $100,000 cash bail.According to troopers an underage drinking party was going on at a home along Sassafras Lane in the Eldo Lakes development in Polk Township. About 12:40 a.m. Lindsey got into an altercation with Brandon L. Cabrera, 17, of 182 Matterhorn Drive, Effort, and Alvaro Cabrera, 18, of Box 7, Saylorsburg R.4.During the altercation Lindsey is accused of stabbing Brandon Cabrera in the chest and Alvaro Cabrera in the thigh and left side of his body.Lindsey then fled the scene in his vehicle. He was later located at the home of a friend and taken into custody.The two victims were taken to the Palmerton Hospital and dropped off. Hospital personnel reportedly called Palmerton police because of the circumstances of the injuries. Borough police went to the hospital and then notified troopers after learning of the incident.The two victims were later transferred to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Brandon Cabrera suffered the most serious injuries reportedly sustaining a puncture to a lung and liver injury.The investigation is continuing, troopers said.
