The bride-to-be is the daughter of John and Patricia Martino of Jim Thorpe. She is a 2005 graduate of Marian Catholic High School and a 2009 graduate of DeSales University, where she earned a bachelor of science in nursing.She is employed as a critical care nurse in the Lehigh Valley.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Peter and Mary Ellen Whitfield of Ashburn. He is a 2005 graduate of Bishop O'Connell High School in Arlington, Va. and a 2009 graduate of DeSales University, where he earned a bachelor of science in management.He is employed as an operations supervisor in the Lehigh Valley.A wedding is being planned for July of this year.
