Three area people were among nine defendants who were sentenced by three judges on criminal charges in Schuylkill County Court.
President Judge William E. Baldwin sentenced to following:
Ronald L. Kennedy, 32, of 44 Walnut Street, Delano Village, Delano Township, who was found guilty by a jury last December 12 was sentenced to serve 11 1/ months to 23 months in the Schuylkill County Prison with credit for serving 21 days on a charge of possession with intend to deliver a controlled substance, pay $100 to SAE (Substance Abuse Education) fund and make restitution of $100 to Schuylkill County Drug Task Force and $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. On a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was given a concurrent two months to 12 months sentence. He was cited in the 400 block of Maple Street, Mahanoy City, on October 14, 2010.
Michael Robert Brunda, 35, of 105 East Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, pleaded guilty January 18 to delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of communication facility and possession of a controlled substance. He was committed to the State Department of Corrections for an evaluation to be used by the court to determine whether he shall be sentenced to a state Intermediate Punishment Program. Brunda was cited by Patrolman Anthony Stanell, Tamaqua Police, last February 11 on High Street.
William Vincent Goralewski, 45, Port Carbon, who entered a guilty plea last December 1 was sentenced on a DUI (driving under the influence) of alcohol to serve three months to six months in the county sentence to begin Friday, January 27 at 9 a.m., fined $1,000, pay $100 to the SAE fund, $50 to Catastrophe fund, $50 to CJEA (Criminal Justice Enhancement Account), a $50 probation fee for each month on probation, attend alcohol highway safe driving school, received outpatient treatment and on a summary charge of reckless driving was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Goralewski was cited by Patrolman Jason A. Klouser, Minersville Police.
Krystal Marie Lombardo, 83, Shenandoah, who pleaded guilty last December 1 was sentenced on a DUI charge to serve 90 days to 5 years in the county prison beginning Friday, January 27 at 9 a.m., fined $1,000, pay $300 to SAE fund, $100 to Catastrophe fund, $50 to CJEA and a $50 monthly probation fee. On a charge of failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic, failing to drive at a safe speed and operating a vehicle without an inspection certificate was fined $25 each and on a charge of failing to wear seat belt was fined $100 plus $200 in costs. Lombardo was cited by Trooper Michael Van Buskirk on Schuylkill Avenue, Shenandoah Heights, on November 30, 2010.
Frank John D'Agostino, III, 30, Shenandoah, who pleaded guilty last December 1 was sentenced on a charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance to serve two years on probation to run consecutive to 23 months on probation he was sentenced to serve for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, a $50 monthly probation fee and make restitution of $226 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. He was cited by Schuylkill County Drug Task Force in Shenandoah on April 26, 2010. He had served 124 days in the county prison.
Gary Timberlake, 50, Philadelphia, who pleaded guilty January 18 on a charge of harassment was fined $300 and costs. The Commonwealth nol pressed charges of simple assault and endangering welfare of children brought by Pottsville Police.
Robert J. Pupko, Jr., 31, of 170 East Main St., Tamaqua, who pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia was sentenced by Judge John E. Domalakes to serve 12 months on probation, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, a $50 monthly probation fee and make restitution of $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. On a charge of possession of a counterfeit substance was given a 30 day concurrent sentence. On a summary charge of failing to properly display a car plate was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Pupko was cited by Patrolman Jonathan McHugh, Tamaqua Police on August 29, 2010.
Jonathan Michael Binns, 37, Shenandoah, entered a guilty plea January 20 to charges of rape of a child, aggravated indecent assault, statutory sexual assault, indecent also of person less than 13 years of age, indecent assault of person unconscious and corruption of minors and Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin accepted the plea and deferred sentence to March 19. Binns was cited by Trooper John Powis on October 14, 2010.
Ronnie William Kroh, 36, Pine Grove, entered a guilty pleas January 19 to dui and was sentenced by Judge Dolbin to serve 72 hours to six months, fined $1,000, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, $100 to Catastrophe fund, a $50 monthly probation fee, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, attend safety school, receive outpatient treatment and driver's license suspended 12 months. Kroh was cited by Trooper Jeffrey Hummel on September 7, 2010 in Pine Grove.
