The West End Rotary Club (WERC) held its annual Holiday Card Design contest in conjunction with Pleasant Valley Intermediate School students. The winners were recognized at the Pleasant Valley School District board meeting. Melinda Ludwig, PVI art teacher introduced the winners. They are, from left, runner up Brian Kagel, sixth grade; first place, Kallie Romascavage, eighth grade; and runner up Marina Ghin, seventh grade. Kallie's design was printed up as the holiday cards that the WERC has been selling as a fundraiser. The winners will be guests of honor at a luncheon hosted by WERC to be held later with the students, their parents, administration and WERC members.
