A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.
Cindy Whiteman, trading as Cindy's Rusty Nail, 939 Mauch Chunk Rd., Palmerton, was cited for possession or operated gambling devices or paraphernalia or permitted gambling or lotteries, poolselling and/or bookmaking on the licensed premises. The alleged infraction occurred on Jan. 13 and 15.
The charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose a fine ranging from $50-$1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. The judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge.
