A state police cruiser was rear-ended in one of three crashes occurring on Schuylkill County roadways.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Trooper Peter F. Mohn, 25, of Harrisburg, was stopped along SR443 in Pine Grove about 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, waiting for traffic that was turning when his 2011 Ford Crown Victoria was struck in the rear by a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina driven by Josephine T. Hardy, 81, of Pine Grove.No one was injured and damages were minor to the two vehicles. Troopers cited Hardy for careless driving.A three vehicle crash occurred about 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, along SR443 at the intersection with S. Front St., in Wayne Township. Troopers said Laura Moyer Hoppes, 41, of Schuylkill Haven, was stopped in a 2000 Subaru Outback while westbound intending to turn left. Duane R. Liburd, 42, of Saint Clair, driving a 1993 Cadillace Seville, and Shannon N. Donaldson, 19, of Pottsville, driving a 2001 Chevrolet Malibu, were also westbound approaching the intersection.The Cadillace struck the Outback in the rear. Donaldson attempted to swerve and avoid a collision but her Malibu struck the rear of the Cadillac.Hoppers sustained a minor injury while the other two drivers were not injured. The Cadillac and Malibu sustained heavy damages and were towed from the scene, troopers added.A two vehicle crash was reported about 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5, at the intersection of state routes 895 and 183, in Wayne Township.Troopers said Austin P. Flurer, 19, of Kunkletown, was driving a 1986 Chevrolet Chevette westbound on 895 and approaching the intersection while Nancy A. Mack, 48, of Tremont, was northbound on a183 driving a 2008 Ford Fusion. At the intersection Flurer failed to stop for a flashing red light and entered the intersection where his vehicle was struck by Mack's.Flurer and passenger Arthur Parisi, 22, of Kunkletown, Mack and her passenger, Brenda Moyer, 50, of Pine Grove, were all not injured.Troopers said Flurer was cited for careless driving, traffic control devices and restraint systems (not wearing a seat belt).
