A Tamaqua man left the scene of a one-car accident on Dec. 28 at 10 p.m. on Kettle Road in Walker Township, according to state police at the Frackville barracks.

Polcie said Nolan Zeigler, 18, was located and interviewed after the crash. Police said he was uninjured and admitted driving the vehicle.The accident happened about one-half mile south of Catawissa Road when Zeigler was driving a 1996 Ford Expedition northbound on Kettle Road. Police said he lost control of the vehicle while driving on snow-covered roadways. The vehicle exited the left side of the lane of travel, hit an embankment, overturned and came to rest on its driver's side facing south.Police said the vehicle sustained heavy damages and required towing from the scene.
