Carbon man jailed

A Carbon County man was jailed this week on a charge of failure to comply with registration as sexual offender.

On Monday, Nov. 18, Jim Thorpe police took Thomas John Roerich, 30, of 69 W. Ninth St., into custody on a felony arrest warrant for failure to comply with registration requirements as a sexual offender. Roerich was taken into custody at 226 Fern St.According to state records Roerich listed his primary residence as 60 W. Ninth St. on Nov. 1. Through an investigation police learned that Roerich had only stayed at that residence for one night.Roerich was arraigned before on-call District Judge Casimir Kosciolek, of Lansford, and committed to the county prison in Nesquehoning after failing to post $50,000 straight cash bail.
