Mr. and Mrs. Peter Tirpak of Summit Hill are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on Aug. 31, 1952 in St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, Lansford.

Mrs. Tirpak is the former Kathleen Rinko, daughter of the late Frances and Michael Rinko of Summit Hill. Mr. Tirpak is the son of the late Mary and George Tirpak, also of Summit Hill.They are the parents of two children, Joyce Tirpak, and Thomas Tirpak and his wife Janel, all of Summit Hill. They have four grandchildren: Nicole Mizak and Jennifer and her husband Chris Evans of Breinigsville, Pa.; Danielle and her husband Frank Milesky of Baltimore, Md.; and Matthew Tirpak and his wife Tamara of Coaldale.They also have one great-granddaughter, Gianna Evans of Breinigsville.Kathleen and Pete, and most of their family have owned and operated Northeast Chemical and Supply Co. in Lansford for the past 45 years.The Tirpaks will be celebrating this special occasion with a family dinner.
