She says that's the key to long life: staying active, that and a good beer. She also enjoys going shopping and on lunch trips. She met her husband Gary when she was 23 years old. He had come to her parent's farm to pick up some eggs.A year later they married in June of 1937, and the next day left for a trip to California. They drove all day and stopped each night, as there were no highway lights on the roads yet. They stopped to eat at one of the very first McDonald's restaurants. After three months on the West Coast, Angie said she wanted to come home. She told her husband he could come or stay, but she was going! They both moved back east and shared a wonderful life. They had three children: Reese, Judy and Adrian. Judy and Adrian are gone now and Reese lives in Andreas.
