The engagement of Rachel Holly, daughter of Valerie (Holly) Baber of New Tripoli, and Patrick Leaver, son of Michael and Tammy Leaver of Lehighton, has been announced by their families.

The bride to be is the granddaughter of Edward and Anna Marie (Balukonis) Holly of Freeland. She is a 2012 graduate of Parkland High School in Allentown, and is currently attending East Stroudsburg University in the honors college where she is seeking a bachelor of arts degree in art and design.She is employed as a customer service representative at the TIMES NEWS, LLC in Lehighton.The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Madlyn Bramich and the late Ronald Bramich of Whitehall, and Melvan Sr. and Marilyn Leaver of Slatington. He is a 2009 graduate of the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School. He will graduate in December of this year from East Stroudsburg University with a bachelor of science degree in media communications and technology.He is employed as a camera operator at Blue Ridge TV-13 and is also the lead singer/guitarist in the rock band Phoenix Bridge.A wedding is planned for October of 2013.
