Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Long Jr. of Lehighton are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. They were married on Aug. 26, 1972 at the Lehighton Wesleyan Church. A reception followed at the Lehighton Sportsman's Club.

Mrs. Long is the former Sally Anne Koch, daughter of Phyllis A. Koch and the late Albert F. Koch of Lehighton. She was given in marriage by her grandfather Quinton A. Kunkle.Her sister, Priscilla, served as her matron of honor, while her husband's sister, Linda Long (now Muffley), served as her maid of honor.Mr. Long is the son of Henry J. and Shirley Long of Lehighton. His brother, Eric, served as best man.Mrs. Long is a graduate of Lehighton Area High School. She is a homemaker.Mr. Long is a graduate of Catasauqua High School and also attended Lehigh County Community College. He is employed by the Lehighton Water Authority.The Longs have two daughters, Laurel, wife of David Zimmerman; and Larissa, wife of Matthew Kimmel.They have four grandchildren: Zane and Vivian Zimmerman and Emma and Josiah Kimmel.
