Steven Behr, Tamaqua Elementary School Principal, has announced the date for orientation sessions for parents whose children will be entering kindergarten for the 2012-2013 school year. The date will be Aug. 23 for all sessions, but times will be different depending on which session the child will be attending.

Parents with children in the morning session will have orientation at 6:30 p.m., while for afternoon students, the session will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sessions will be held at the West Penn and Rush Elementary Schools.Aug. 23 is also Back to School Night at Rush Elementary. The school will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. In addition to the kindergarten orientations, teachers of first grade and kindergarten plus classes will conduct an informational session for parents at 7 p.m.Curriculum, routine procedures and other school related topics will be discussed.
