The 21st annual Ukrainian Festival will take place Aug. 18-19 at the Ukrainian Homestead, 1230 Beaver Run Drive, Lehighton.

Saturday's activities will include stage shows at 2 and 4:30 p.m. From 8 p.m. until midnight, there will be a zabava or dance.

On Sunday, a divine liturgy will be celebrated at St. Andrew's Chapel at 11 a.m. There will be stage shows at 2 and 4:30 p.m.

Performers will include the Kazka Ukranian Folk Ensemble from Schuylkill County, violinist Innesa Tymochko-Dekajlo from the Ukraine, and the Dobriansky Brothers Quartet from New York City.

During both days of the festival there will be traditional Ukrainian foods, folk art, exhibitions and demonstrations, including pysanky (Ukranian Easter eggs), embroidery, and Gerdany (beadweaving). There will also be children's games, swimming and a variety of vendors.

The event is open to the public. There is an admission price, and children 14 and under are free. Parking is free.
