A Schuylkill County man fell under a dump truck yesterday while crossing a street and was killed.
The incident occurred about 3:10 p.m. in McAdoo.
Borough police identified the victim as Michael Dormer, 65, of 52 S. Harrison St., McAdoo.
Police said Dormer was attempting to cross S. Kennedy Drive (SR309), when he fell into the left rear axle of a Mack dump truck, which was being driven southbound by Joseph Galbiati.
Police ruled the death an accident and no charges will be filed against the truck driver.
Police said witnesses traveling behind the truck said the vehicle did not strike Dormer rather he fell under the rear wheels of the truck.
Dormer was flown by medical helicopter to St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, where he was pronounced dead at 5 p.m. Lehigh County coroner Scott Grim said Dormer died of multiple traumatic injuries.
