The second person killed in one of two fatal crashes that occurred Tuesday evening in Schuylkill County has been identified. Details of the crash were also released.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Mark Gregory, 56, of Orwigsburg, died when his motorcycle and a car collided along SR895 at an access road to the Schuylkill County Fairgrounds, in South Manheim Township. The crash occurred about 8:48 p.m.

State police at Frackville said Jonathan P. Palubinsky, 18, of Mahanoy City, died in a crash about 6:20 p.m. along Back Road in Ryan Township. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

In the cycle crash troopers said a 17-year-old male juvenile from Schuylkill Haven was exiting the fairgrounds driving a Volkswagen Jetta when it collided with Gregory's Harley-Davidson bike. The annual Schuylkill County Fair was in progress at the time.

Troopers said the teen was leaving the fairgrounds and came to a complete stop at the intersection with 895. He then tried to turn left onto 895 when the front left fender of his car was struck by Gregory's cycle. Gregory was eastbound at the time.

The teen was not injured. Troopers said he will be cited as a result of the crash.

In the Palubinsky crash a 15-year-old female passenger from Barnesville sustained a minor injury. Three other passengers, William A. Fazio III, 18, and two females, ages 16 and 15, all from Mahanoy City, were not injured.

Details of that crash appeared in Wednesday's TIMES NEWS on page 1.
