Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on the following arrests.
Police said on July 26 about 1 p.m. officers arrested Mindy Tomaro, 31, of Tobyhanna, at the office of District Judge Richard Claypool, of Pocono Pines, when she arrived for a scheduled preliminary hearing for her boyfriend, identified as Jeffrey Shnettler, who was previously arrested for theft, receiving stolen property, and criminal conspiracy.
Tomaro was charged with hindering apprehension of prosecution when Pocono officers arrested Shnettler at her residence on July 11. At the time of the arrest Tomaro was at home and was aware that Schnettler was wanted by police. She was arraigned and released on unsecured bail.
Police said Gloria Farrell, of Pocono Farms development in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township, was arrested on June 27, for theft of services. Police said they assisted an investigator from PPL at Farrell's home in reference to theft of services. A PPL employee discovered from November 2011 to April Farrell stopped the rate reading by the meter by tampering with the unit, police allege.
