Several men posing as workers of a local plumbing business entered the home of an elderly woman Wednesday morning in Lehighton and made off with an unknown amount of items. The men told the victim they were with Andreas Plumbing & Heating of Lehighton and were there to do some work. Ironically, the woman uses the services of that firm when she has work done at her home. After the impostors left she discovered items missing. When she called the plumbing company to complain about the thefts, she was informed the company did not have any workers at her home nor did they have any work scheduled. The company immediately sent workers to the scene and informed the Lehighton police. It was reported the men had a white box truck in which they loaded the items and made their getaway.
