A Lansford man is in trouble after police were called to a residence for a domestic dispute.

According to Summit Hill police, on June 22, at 9:32 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in Summit Hill for a domestic disturbance.

Upon arrival they talked with the victim, who reported that James Mehefko, 43, of 343 W. Bertsch St., assaulted her.

Police took Mehefko into custody for the assault.

During a pat down search officers discovered a metal pipe that is used to ingest drugs.

The victim of the assault did not want to press charges for the assault but Mehefko was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
